CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Chad Gruzin is a mission-driven leader dedicated to advancing equity and expanding opportunities for underserved communities. With a career spanning government, education, and social services, he brings a systems-level perspective to building solutions that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

As Chief Strategy Officer at Accra, Chad works to strengthen and expand programs that provide Home and Community-Based Services to individuals who often face barriers in accessing essential services. His focus is on removing those barriers so clients can access care more easily and caregivers can find meaningful employment.

Chad’s commitment to this work is deeply personal. His older brother, Tyler, receives FMS services and, with the right support, discovered a passion for caring for animals. Today, Tyler thrives in his job on a horse farm, a reminder of how the right program and caregiver can unlock opportunity and dignity. Witnessing both the power of home care services and the challenges families face in navigating them has inspired Chad to dedicate his career to ensuring others can experience the same chance to thrive.

Earlier in his career, Chad advanced federal cybersecurity initiatives at IBM and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration. He also co-founded EarlyAdmit, an organization that helped students from historically underserved backgrounds navigate the university admissions process.

Chad holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with honors and was recognized as a Rising Leader in Social Impact Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. He leads with empathy, a profound sense of service, and a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to find joy, belonging, and fulfillment; their own version of Tyler’s “horse farm.”
