Accra Announces Hannah Rutt as Human Resources Director

MINNETONKA, Minn. – Jan. 5, 2020 – Accra, Minnesota’s largest provider of homecare services, has promoted Hannah Rutt to human resources director. In her new role, Rutt will collaborate with Program Directors and Accra team members to advance Accra’s strategic and organizational goals.

Rutt joined Accra in 2016. Throughout her tenure at Accra, her primary focus has been ensuring that Accra employees and caregivers receive the resources and supports they need to best serve clients.

In her new role, Rutt will manage critical employment issues, assure HR-related programs remain in compliance with federal and state regulations, oversee HR operations and address sensitive employee matters.

“Hannah is a vital member of our human resources team because of her person-centered approach. She is an active advocate for caregivers and truly believes in the life-changing work they do,” explained Amy Hilsgen, Chief Human Resources Officer at Accra.

Rutt is an active member of SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and Twin Cities SHRM, which helps her stay abreast of the human resources profession’s best practices.

Rutt has worked in the disability services industry since attending college at Colorado Mesa University. Before joining Accra, she served as a respite program manager and managed an assisted travel program for adults with disabilities. During that time, she developed a passion for connecting with and supporting employees, which led her to a successful career in human resources.

Rutt is excited to continue to champion homecare by advocating for improved wages, benefits and career development for homecare caregivers.
