Accra High Street House, located in Lake City, MN, offers a quaint assisted living community with 11 comfortable apartments. Payment options include private pay and Elderly waiver.
Basic services provided to all residents include:
- A pendant alert system for 24-hour staff assistance through our call system
- Three meals a day
- Weekly housekeeping and linen change
- Washing and drying of personal laundry
- Scheduled activities several times per week
- Health assessment and monitoring by a registered nurse
- Assistance with contacting doctors and arranging appointments for health care needs
Each resident at High Street House completes a detailed interview and assessment with a registered nurse to create a personalized plan, tailored for their specific needs, such as bathing, treatments and medication assistance. The High Street House is located in a quiet residential setting – just blocks from downtown Lake City – close to churches, parks and beautiful Lake Pepin.
When we toured a different assisted living community, the walls were all white, and it didn’t have a warm feeling. But when we toured High Street House, Donald said he could see himself living here. I agreed and felt okay leaving our home knowing that we would be looked after.

Why Accra High Street House?
With a focus on wellness and independence, High Street House helps residents stay as self-sufficient as possible and provides high-quality, individual attention to meet the needs of each resident’s specific plan developed in partnership with a registered nurse. Our staff takes the time to know your life stories, your family and your needs.
Residents are able to furnish their apartment according to their individual desires, and each apartment features a living area, bedroom, two large closets and a linen closet, walk-in shower with seat and safety bars, refrigerator, microwave, carpeting and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. High Street House also has a large main living room, two smaller sitting alcoves and a dining room for socializing with visiting friends and family.

- RN visits
- Assistance with medication according to need and physician orders. Medications may be set up by nurse.
- Bathing assistance
- Incontinence care and scheduled toileting assistance

- Hearing aid assistance
- Aide assistance with prescribed exercises by MD or physical therapist
- Diabetic assistance with monitoring blood sugars and medication plans as ordered by primary physician
